Bio

Cheongra Ha is a Daegeum performer and lecturer who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Korean Music from Ewha Womans University and won first prize at both the 13th National Daegeum Competition and the 40th Nangye National Korean Traditional Music Competition. She completed her Master’s degree in Korean Studies at SOAS, University of London, and has presented lectures on Korean traditional music at the University of Oxford, Columbia College Chicago, and the National Taiwan University of Arts. Since joining the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago (KPAC) as an Artist in Residence in 2024, she has been actively engaged in performance, education, and cultural outreach.
