Bio

Jaeeun Lee is the Director of Korean American Youth Performing Artists (KAYPA), a nonprofit organization she founded in 2014 to promote Korean traditional and contemporary arts among second- and third-generation Korean American youth. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Dance from Hanyang University in Korea, with early training at the National Gugak High School. Under her leadership, KAYPA educates youth in Korean traditional percussion, dance, K-pop, Korean history, and public speaking, and produced A Guide to Korean Cultural Arts, a bilingual educational resource distributed to schools and libraries. Lee has led KAYPA in performances at major cultural and civic venues including the U.S. Capitol, Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration, Disneyland and SeaWorld cultural festivals, UNESCO-recognized cultural events in Mexico, and Korean War commemorative performances. Her work centers on cultural preservation, youth arts education, and fostering pride and identity through Korean cultural heritage.
