Bio
Namkyung Joh majored in Korean Music at Ewha Womans University, where she completed her B.A. with a focus on piri performance. She was sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea to present traditional Korean music across major cities in the United States and Canada. She is an active member of the Lee-Nae Ensemble, with whom she has released two collaborative albums, Arirang × Amazing Grace and Mother’s Grace × Hanamo. She continues to broaden her artistic reach through recent performances at the University of Kentucky and Indiana University. She teaches piri at KPAC and leads Korean cultural clubs across elementary, middle, and high schools, sharing both the musical and cultural heritage of Korea with students in the U.S.
